π§ The Role: Handyman
Weβre looking for a hands-on, proactive Handyman to maintain and improve our hotel facilities. Youβll be responsible for resolving maintenance issues promptly across hotel areas, including rooms, grounds, pools, and more.
Your work will help keep the property safe, beautiful, and fully functional β ensuring a world-class experience for every guest.
π Key Responsibilities
- Respond to maintenance tasks during shifts and via instructions.
- Carry out basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general DIY repairs.
- Ensure upkeep of rooms, common areas, grounds, security systems, and pools.
- Work both independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
- Communicate effectively with hotel guests and staff.
β Minimum Requirements
- Matric Certificate
- 1β2 years’ proven handyman/maintenance experience (preferably in a hotel)
- Additional trade-related qualifications are advantageous (salary may be adjusted accordingly)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work calmly under pressure
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and integrity
- Neat, professional appearance with a positive team-player attitude
- Ability to multitask and prioritize jobs efficiently
