🎯 Job Purpose
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Sampler to join our team at the Ore Berth Sampling Facility in Port Elizabeth. This role involves hands-on labour to ensure accurate and safe handling of ore samples.
📚 Minimum Requirements
- Matric certificate (Grade 12) – Essential
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Notify Supervisor/Controller/Assistant Controller in advance if unable to report for duty
- Transport ore samples to designated locations under supervision
- Ensure daily housekeeping of the facility to maintain cleanliness and safety
- Report for duty punctually for every shift
- Wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
- Uphold company values, procedures, time-keeping, and conduct standards
🔬 Technical Duties
- Take ore samples from chutes, place them in buckets, and secure with lids
- Conduct material handling processes including:
- Sieving
- Splitting
- Crushing
- Pulverising
- Operate sampling equipment in accordance with safety and operational guidelines

- Knowledge of ore sampling processes
- Attention to detail and adherence to protocols
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team
- Physical fitness for manual labour and working in an industrial environment
