Copyright and Administration Internship
The SAMPRA Development Fund is offering a Copyright and Administration Internship for one (1) graduate interested in gaining skills and experience in the South African music industry. The successful candidate will be placed at Sony Music Publishing Africa’s Satellite office in Rosebank. This internship is ideal for a graduate who has completed a qualification in Administration, Commerce, or related fields. The intern will gain comprehensive exposure to the operations of a publishing company, particularly in song data entry and maintenance.
Key Requirements:
- Completed qualification in Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- No prior work experience required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of copyright, contractual law, and music publishing administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Certified copy of transcript and/or qualification.
- Proximity to Rosebank (within driving distance).
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Passion for music and a positive attitude.
Additional Information:
- Interns may be required to attend company events, including some that may take place on Saturdays or in the evenings.
- The internship will last for 12 months at Sony Music Publishing Africa, with a stipend of R6,500.00 per month.

Creative and A&R (Artists and Repertoire) Internship
The SAMPRA Development Fund is offering a Creative and A&R (Artists and Repertoire) Internship for one (1) graduate looking to develop skills and experience in the South African music industry. The successful candidate will be placed at Sony Music Publishing Africa’s Satellite office in Rosebank. This opportunity is ideal for graduates who have completed a qualification in Public Relations, Marketing, or related fields. The intern will gain valuable exposure to the operations of a publishing company, focusing on Marketing, Public Relations, and Artists & Repertoire administration.
Key Requirements:
- Completed qualification in Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- No prior work experience required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of digital media.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and Mac OSX.
- Certified copy of transcript and/or qualification.
- Proximity to Rosebank (within driving distance).
- Must be a South African citizen.
