RCL Foods is on the lookout for a driven and customer-focused Code 10 Driver-Salesman to join our high-performing baking business unit in Empangeni. If you thrive in a fast-paced FMCG environment and enjoy being on the road, interacting with customers, and delivering quality products, this role is for you.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and sell bread & confectionery directly from the vehicle.
- Call on existing and new customers (retail & traders), process orders, and collect cash.
- Maintain vehicle hygiene and safety standards.
- Perform daily vehicle checks and report faults.
- Ensure accurate stock loading and handle crate control.
- Manage van assistant’s performance and conduct.
- Promote products, execute sales strategies, and ensure excellent customer service.
- Collect competitor intelligence and report market activity.
- Accurately complete delivery documentation and ensure safe cash handling.
- Stand in for other roles (van assistant/loader) as needed.
✅ Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence with a valid PDP.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience driving and selling in an FMCG environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English and handle basic numeracy tasks.
- Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, overtime, and be on standby.
