Salary: R260,244 – R356,928 per annum (basic, plus benefits)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 Certificate and a 1-year post-matric certificate in Administration or a related field
  • 1–2 years’ experience in administration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support at depot level
  • Handle complaints and enquiries relating to refuse removal services and associated costs
  • Manage the department’s archiving and filing system
  • Record and file weighbridge slips for daily refuse disposal and container transport
  • Take minutes of meetings when required
  • Administer service contracts, including new service applications
  • Maintain drivers’ daily bulk container and call-for lists
  • Update inventories of refuse and bulk containers
  • Assist with budget control, monitoring income and expenditure for waste services
  • Draft correspondence relating to income control and service marketing
  • Ensure compliance with governance, legislation, council policies, and procedures
  • Support sound financial management practices to prevent wastage of resources
