Salary: R228 321 per annum

  • Mitchell’s Plain Community Health Centre (1 Post)
  • Crossroads Community Day Centre (1 Post)

Requirements

Minimum Educational Qualification:

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Relevant experience in Patient Administration or Admissions.
  • Practical experience in Client Care.

Inherent Job Requirements:

  • Willingness to work long and irregular hours, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Ability to work overtime on short notice.

Competencies (Knowledge and Skills):

  • Computer literacy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take accountability, and function effectively without supervision.
  • Capable of working within a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register and capture patient information accurately on PHCIS.
  • Maintain proper recordkeeping, including filing, retrieving, tracing, opening, and destruction of patient folders.
  • Manage cash transactions in accordance with prescribed procedures.
  • Ensure efficient handling and safekeeping of patient documentation.
  • Provide relief administrative support within the facility as required.
  • Handle patient and public enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
