ADMINISTRATION CLERK: (DCRS) – REF NO: 2025/322/OCJ
Salary: R228 321 – R268 950 per annum (Level 05). The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance agreement.
Centre: Labour and Labour Appeals Court, Durban
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4). No experience required.
- A three-year relevant qualification (National Diploma, NQF Level 6, 360 credits) recognised by SAQA and a valid driver’s license will be advantageous.
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of digital recording processes (system testing, equipment functionality, fault reporting)
- Knowledge of court procedures
- Familiarity with digital and manual filing systems
- Good written and verbal communication
- Interpersonal and customer service skills
- Planning, organisational, and teamwork abilities
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Court-related administrative knowledge
Duties:
- Provide administrative support during the pre-recording phase of court proceedings.
- Ensure accurate recording of court sessions.
- Handle playback requests during or after proceedings.
- Compile and manage statistics.
- Perform general administrative duties related to court operations.
- Offer administrative assistance to the Court Manager, Registrar, and Supervisor as needed.

Requirements:
- Grade 12. No experience required.
- A three-year NQF Level 6 qualification in records management or a relevant National Diploma (NQF Level 6, 360 credits) recognised by SAQA will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Administrative and clerical skills, including data capturing
- Good public relations skills
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Time management skills
- Computer literacy (including Microsoft Teams)
- Report writing and typing skills
- Understanding confidentiality requirements in government
- Knowledge of clerical practices, data handling, and statistics
- Awareness of the legislative framework governing the Public Service
Duties:
- Provide general clerical and administrative support.
- Record, organise, file, capture, and retrieve correspondence and data.
- Assist with supply chain clerical duties within the component.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding goods and services procurement.
- Render personnel administration support within the component.
- Provide financial administrative support and update expenditure records.
