Overview
The Department of Health and Wellness is offering three permanent Administration Clerk positions in the Quality Assurance division at Groote Schuur Hospital. These roles support the department’s commitment to Employment Equity, and applications from persons with disabilities are welcomed.

Minimum Educational Requirement

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent)

Experience

  • Relevant administrative experience.

  • Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Inherent Job Requirements

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide professional customer service and support to patients and their families.
  • Maintain order in patient waiting areas.
  • Perform reception tasks, assist walk-in and telephonic enquiries, and interact with staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Create and maintain databases for monthly reports.
  • Type correspondence, reports, and documents.
  • Ensure proper records management.
  • Use resources and consumables responsibly.
  • Perform relief duties and any additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
