About the Role
This role provides essential administrative support to approximately 80 employees across Verifone Africa’s business units, located in Bryanston and Honeydew. The position ensures smooth coordination of administrative processes and plays a key part in meeting corporate governance and statutory requirements, including Board, Committee, and BBBEE-related duties.


Key Responsibilities

Board Administration

  • Arrange and coordinate quarterly Board meetings
  • Prepare agendas and distribute documents
  • Record, draft, and circulate accurate minutes
  • Compile and maintain complete Board packs

Social & Ethics Committee (SEC)

  • Schedule and coordinate quarterly SEC meetings
  • Prepare minutes, distribute meeting packs, and maintain records
  • Facilitate communication between committee members
  • Report recommendations and outcomes to the Board

Equity Employment Committee (EEC)

  • Support operations in line with South African labour legislation requirements

BBBEE Skills Development Coordination

  • Contribute to BBBEE compliance by managing Skills Development requirements
  • Assist with the annual training budget (6% of payroll – approx. ZAR 3.8 million)
  • Coordinate with managers, employees, training providers, and Finance
  • Source accredited training, obtain quotes, secure approvals, and schedule sessions
  • Track training participation and spending

General Administrative & Business Support

  • Provide daily admin support to the General Manager and various departments
    (Sales, Finance, Logistics, Engineering)
  • Organise internal/external meetings and assist HR with events
  • Manage documents, communication, and general office coordination
  • Handle ad hoc administrative tasks across the organisation

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong organisational and coordination abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of BBBEE requirements (advantageous)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role (preferred)
