Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, professionally, with accountability and integrity.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication abilities.
- General computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently when required.
Key Duties
- Register and scan incoming dockets.
- Capture information onto the Electronic Case Register (ECR).
- Update case information daily based on court outcomes.
- Electronically provide dockets to the Defence upon Prosecutor requests.
- Communicate with Prosecutors regarding assigned matters.
- Verify court proceedings and ensure accurate information is recorded.
- Capture and reconcile case information by contacting Prosecutors when needed.
- Generate reports and statistics using the ECR.
- Compile various statistical sheets and reports using Access, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
- Submit monthly reports to Supervisors and National Office.
- Update the electronic case register as new information becomes available.
- Address queries from Prosecutors and SAPS regarding case flow on the ECR.
- Perform case administration and document management tasks.
- Maintain and prepare case files.
- Release documents to authorised parties.
- Maintain the e-disclosure platform.
- Assist in managing Prosecutors’ caseloads.

ASSESSMENTS
All shortlisted candidates—including for SMS positions—will undergo two pre-entry assessments:
- A practical task relevant to the position.
- An integrity (ethical conduct) assessment.
For SMS (Senior Management Service) posts:
- Candidates will complete a technical assessment, with details provided by the NPA.
- Following interviews and assessments, candidates may be referred for managerial competency assessments, as per DPSA guidelines.
- A Nyukela Pre-entry Certificate from the National School of Government (NSG) is required for SMS appointments under the Public Service Act.

- SMS appointments under the NPA Act are exempt from this requirement.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
- A new Z83 form has been in use since 1 January 2021. Applications submitted on the old form will not be considered.
- The NPA does not pay resettlement costs for successful applicants.
- Candidates appointed to the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption will undergo lifestyle audits and integrity vetting.
