Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
  • Computer literacy.

Core Competencies:

  • Knowledge of clerical duties, administrative practices, and data capturing.
  • Understanding of office administration systems, including filing and record management.
  • Familiarity with procedures for receiving, responding to, and managing enquiries.
  • Good telephone etiquette and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Knowledge of the legislative framework governing the Public Service.
  • Understanding of workplace procedures and processes.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and language skills.
  • Ability to adapt and work flexibly within a team environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support services.
  • Record, organize, capture, and retrieve correspondence and data.
  • Maintain registers for incoming and outgoing documents.
  • Handle routine enquiries and assist with general office tasks.
  • Make photocopies, distribute documents, and manage filing systems.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement.
  • Obtain quotations, complete procurement forms, and handle purchases of office supplies.
  • Maintain stock control of office stationery.
  • Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements.
