About the Role

KZN’s largest and award-winning Vodacom Franchise Dealer is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Retail Administrator to join our Vodacom 2.0 Sandton store.

We are looking for a vibrant, self-driven, and organized professional who can support store operations, sales teams, and management in maintaining efficient workflows, excellent customer service, and administrative accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Store Readiness

  • Ensure all staff tools (stationery, business cards, scissors, staplers, etc.) are available and in good condition daily.
  • Check and troubleshoot store computers and devices before trade.
  • Manage copiers and ensure toner and paper are always stocked.
  • Supervise daily and weekly cleaning routines and store presentation.
  • Participate in daily power meetings to motivate and update the team.

Back Office Administration

  • Maintain a well-organized and efficient back office to support sales operations.
  • Issue stock and SIM cards promptly to sales staff.
  • Process and verify all contracts, upgrades, and insurance claims as per Vodacom standards.
  • Complete daily reconciliations and ensure accuracy of all sales documents and system entries (MII, C3D, VPP).
  • Conduct customer follow-up calls for activations, installations, and pending issues.
  • Capture all sales data (Postpaid, Prepaid, Insurance, Upgrades) and update performance reports.
  • Process prepaid claims, manage value-added services, and handle ownership transfers.
  • File and archive all documentation systematically.
  • Assist with customer queries and complaints to ensure quick resolution.
  • Support the Store Manager with sales reports, fibre/wireless installations, and retention tracking.

Repairs and Returns

  • Check all repair job cards and verify device details and condition.
  • Capture and monitor all repairs, trade-ins, and out-of-box failures (OBFs).
  • Follow up on outstanding repairs and manage loan devices issued to customers.
  • Coordinate repair deliveries and customer communication.

Stock Management

  • Assist in stock receiving, packing, and dating.
  • Track and manage aged or faulty stock.
  • Support merchandising and ensure all staff are informed of stock availability.
  • Manage accessory replenishment and stock reservations.

HR and Staff Support

  • Assist the Store Manager with biometric clocking, staff rosters, and leave administration.
  • Oversee uniform compliance and manage cleaner schedules and supplies.
  • Ensure smooth rotation of sales staff during tea and lunch breaks.

Sales Assistance

  • Conduct eligibility calls for upgrades, insurance, and fibre offerings.
  • Quote customers based on coverage and package options.
  • Manage and track lead conversions and retention stats.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of administration experience in a Vodacom retail environment.
  • Proficiency in Vodacom systems: MII, C3D, and VPP.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (filtering, data sorting, and reporting).
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
  • Reliable, organized, and customer-focused.
  • Must be able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Certificate or Diploma (preferred).
  • Code 08/10 driver’s license with own transport (advantageous).

Working Hours

  • Monday–Wednesday: Shift 1 (8:00–16:30) | Shift 2 (11:00–20:00)
  • Thursday: Shift 1 (7:30–16:30) | Shift 2 (11:00–20:00)
  • Friday: Shift 1 (8:00–16:00) | Shift 2 (13:00–20:30)
  • Saturday: Shift 1 (8:30–16:00) | Shift 2 (11:30–20:30)
  • Sunday & Public Holidays: 8:30–18:30
  • Shifts alternate weekly.
  • Fixed day off (Monday) when working Sundays.

Compensation

  • Salary: R7 000 – R8 500 per month (based on experience)
  • Incentives available after probation.
