Lindsay Saker VW Midrand, in partnership with Motus Technical Training Academy (MTTA), is offering a golden opportunity for ambitious individuals to kick-start their careers through a CBMT Level 1 Apprenticeship in Motor Mechanics.
This structured 4-year program combines on-the-job training (OJT) with classroom-based learning, providing the ideal foundation to become a Qualified Motor Vehicle Mechanic.
🛠️ What the Program Includes
- Competency-Based Modular Training (CBMT) in partnership with merSETA
- A learnership contract with Lindsay Saker VW Midrand
- MIBCO minimum wages apply
- Training Levels 1–4 over 4 years
- 5-day block training every 5 weeks at MTTA
- Distance learning via CDX – interactive online tutorials, exercises, and quizzes
- Computer-based assessments and practical competency testing
- Real-time workshop experience alongside qualified technicians
- Completion of a Portfolio of Evidence (PoE)
🎓 Minimum Qualifications
To be considered, applicants must have:
- Matric Certificate with Mathematics and Physical Science
(OR N2 Certificate with Mathematics, Engineering Science, and English – minimum 50%) - Valid driver’s license
- Basic computer literacy

- Complete standard background checks
- Pass a medical fitness assessment
- Undergo psychometric testing and a face-to-face interview
