💰 Salary: R193 359 per annum
🧾 Job Purpose
To support maintenance operations by assisting with repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance of equipment, furniture, and facility infrastructure within the hospital environment.
🎓 Minimum Requirements
- NQF Level 3 (Grade 10 or equivalent qualification)
🛠️ Experience
- Appropriate handyman or maintenance experience within a healthcare environment.
⚠️ Inherent Job Requirements
- Valid Code B/EB driver’s license
- Willingness to travel within the sub-district
- Ability to work overtime and perform standby duties
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks

🔨 Key Responsibilities
- Assist with repairs, installations, and emergency breakdown maintenance
- Maintain and repair plant equipment, furniture, fixtures, and mechanical fittings
- Assist with preventative maintenance, including:
- Autoclaves
- Steam generators
- Water tanks
- Chlorifiers
- Perform basic welding repairs and installations
- Obtain quotations and order materials required for maintenance tasks
- Assist with supervision and in-service training of co-workers
- Ensure strict compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
