Job Overview
MA Automotive Tool and Die (Pty) Ltd is looking for a motivated Artisan Assistant to support the maintenance and repair of press machinery within its manufacturing operations in Pretoria/Rosslyn.
The successful candidate will assist the technical team in ensuring machinery runs efficiently while maintaining company quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with repairs and maintenance of press machinery to meet company and customer quality standards.
- Support preventative maintenance tasks according to maintenance schedules, job cards, and work instructions.
- Record maintenance feedback and complete timesheets accurately for reporting to the Team Leader.
- Ensure all company procedures, work instructions, and quality systems are followed.
- Participate actively in departmental mini-business initiatives as required.
- Follow and comply with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) procedures at all times.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of technical maintenance techniques.
- Understanding of press machinery repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
- Basic knowledge of quality management systems.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / NQF Level 4 qualification.
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Fitter Assistant in an automotive environment.
- Artisan trade qualification will be an advantage.
