What This Learnership Is About

As a Bank Better Champion Learner, you will be the welcoming face of the branch. Your role is to ensure smooth client flow, deliver excellent service, and assist clients with both in-branch and self-service banking solutions. Throughout the programme, you’ll gain valuable exposure, practical skills, and hands-on experience that will prepare you for a future role in Service Consulting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients and manage branch queues efficiently
  • Provide friendly, professional, and efficient client service
  • Assist clients at ATMs and self-service or remote banking channels
  • Help clients complete basic banking transactions
  • Learn and apply Capitec’s service standards, products, and processes
  • Build strong communication and interpersonal skills in a banking environment

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 National Certificate or Grade 12 (Vocational)
  • No prior work experience required
  • A strong interest in banking and client service
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and take initiative

Knowledge Requirements

Minimum:

  • Basic numerical and calculation skills
  • Understanding of how to communicate effectively with people
  • Self-awareness, ambition, and a strong learning mindset

Ideal:

  • Knowledge of a bank branch environment
  • Familiarity with Capitec Bank products and processes (advantageous)

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong communication skills
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)
