About the Role:
The Executive Manager for Financial Management and Reporting will provide strategic leadership in financial management, budgeting, and reporting across the Border Management Authority (BMA). This role requires an individual with extensive experience in financial management, a strong understanding of relevant legislation, and the ability to drive financial strategies aligned with BMA’s goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic input into the development of financial management frameworks and strategies.
  • Develop and implement operational plans to achieve financial management and reporting objectives.
  • Ensure the maintenance and improvement of financial management and accounting policies.
  • Drive the implementation of financial management systems and processes across BMA locations.
  • Oversee the preparation of annual budgets and ensure alignment with operational plans.
  • Ensure timely submission of statutory returns and resolve queries efficiently.
  • Manage the accuracy of journal entries and reconciliations for General Ledger and Trial Balance accounts.
  • Oversee payroll processing, including collaboration with Human Capital and SAGE 300 Consultants.

Minimum Requirements:

  • B. Com Accounting degree or equivalent (NQF 7).
  • Postgraduate qualification in Finance or equivalent (NQF 8).
  • CA(SA) designation.
  • 8 years of experience in financial management, budgeting, and reporting.
  • 3 years of senior management experience.

Executive Manager: Property and Facilities Management

About the Role:
The Executive Manager for Property and Facilities Management will lead and oversee the development and execution of strategies related to the management of BMA’s properties, facilities, and fleet. This role demands an individual with extensive experience in property and facilities management, as well as strong leadership capabilities to ensure the efficient and effective use of resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement facilities management frameworks and strategies.
  • Oversee multidisciplinary teams responsible for cleaning, maintenance, fleet management, and health and safety.
  • Manage project plans for maintenance, refurbishment, and use of facilities and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety protocols.
  • Oversee the management of BMA’s fleet, including maintenance, purchasing, and efficient utilization of vehicles.
  • Implement processes to safeguard the utilization of BMA property and assets.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) in Facilities Management, Property Studies, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a relevant qualification.
  • Postgraduate qualification in the relevant field (NQF 8).
  • 8 years of experience in Property, Facilities, and/or Fleet Management.
  • 3 years of senior management experience.

Manager: Internal Audit

About the Role:
The Manager for Internal Audit will oversee the internal audit function, ensuring that financial and operational processes comply with policies, procedures, and regulations. The role requires expertise in internal auditing, risk management, and a thorough understanding of the regulatory environment within which BMA operates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop an annual audit plan based on organizational risks and priorities.
  • Lead and supervise audit engagements to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.

The Senior Health Specialist will lead the implementation of port health initiatives, ensuring compliance with relevant health legislation and contributing to the strategic objectives of BMA. Health Specialist
