Salary: R138 486 – R163 131 per annum (Level 02)
Location: 9 South African Infantry Battalion, Cape Town

Requirements

• Minimum of ABET qualification
• No previous experience required
• Skills and Competencies:
  • Good verbal communication skills in English
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Understanding of simple machinery and basic maintenance
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and cleaning equipment
  • Ability to operate cleaning machines
  • Capable of performing routine tasks independently or in a team
  • Basic numeracy and literacy
  • Ability to follow Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines
• Personal Attributes:
  • Endurance, reliability, punctuality, loyalty, integrity
  • Neat, hardworking, innovative
  • Able to work shifts and follow instructions

Duties

• Carry out general cleaning tasks in offices and other designated facilities
• Vacuum carpets and clean/dust office furniture daily
• Wash floors and clean kitchens, cutlery, and toilets
• Wash windows regularly and empty office dustbins
• Ensure cleaning equipment is properly maintained, safely stored, and secured
• Clean ablution and conference facilities
• Apply OHS measures where necessary
• Report any workplace faults or defects to the supervisor
