Job Purpose

To provide safe and efficient transportation of passengers, goods, and official documents in accordance with road traffic regulations and standard operating procedures. The role supports RNC construction and maintenance teams to ensure productivity and operational efficiency within RNC contracts and projects under the supervision of the Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers, materials, equipment, and documentation as required.
• Ensure compliance with road traffic regulations and company safety standards.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or issues.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working condition.
• Assist with loading and off-loading of materials where required.
• Adhere to RNC operational procedures and productivity standards.
• Perform duties within RNC construction and maintenance projects as instructed by the Supervisor.
• Work flexible hours and travel to different sites when required.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum Grade 10 qualification.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Valid Code 10 (EC1) Driver’s Licence.
• Valid PrDP (Professional Driving Permit).
• Minimum 2 years relevant driving experience.
• Must successfully pass a Fleet Driver Assessment before appointment.

• Basic knowledge of vehicle care, road rules, and traffic regulations.
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance.
• Technically minded with the ability to identify basic vehicle faults.
• Ability to work independently when required.
• Strong safety awareness.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel away from home or site office when required.
