Air Products is seeking two experienced Cylinder Truck Drivers to handle the safe delivery and collection of packaged gas to and from both internal and external customer sites. This role requires a strong focus on safety, reliability, and adherence to company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Deliver and collect gas cylinders safely and efficiently at designated locations
- Load and offload cylinders responsibly and securely
- Maintain cleanliness and general housekeeping of the truck
- Ensure strict compliance with SHERQ standards
- Perform duties in line with all company policies and procedures
- Carry out general ad hoc tasks as required
Required Skills
- Handling of gas cylinders
- Dangerous goods handling
- Heavy-duty truck driving
Candidate Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Valid, unendorsed Code EC driver’s licence with PrDP (D)
- Valid Dangerous Goods Certificate
- Reliable personal transport
- Minimum of 5 years’ heavy-duty driving experience
- Medically fit for physically demanding work
- Must achieve A/B rating in Psychomotor Testing and pass Air Products’ internal written and practical assessments
- Clear criminal record
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when required
- Ability to complete delivery paperwork and vehicle fitness reports accurately
- Ability to operate a computer or tablet
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
