FlySafair, South Africa’s leading low-cost airline, is looking for a Dedicated and Certified Dangerous Goods / AVSEC Instructor to join our Training team at our Johannesburg Head Office.
This role reports directly to the Training Manager and plays a crucial part in upholding our exceptional training standards in line with aviation compliance and operational excellence.
✈️ Your Mission
- Deliver ground training in Dangerous Goods (DG), Aviation Security (AVSEC), and Weight & Balance (W&B).
- Facilitate engaging training sessions—both classroom and virtual formats.
- Prepare training environments and ensure up-to-date material is available.
- Provide tailored support and feedback to learners to promote growth.
- Maintain and distribute all training documentation in compliance with SACAA standards.
- Develop industry-leading training content aligned with regulations and best practices.
- Mentor junior trainers and support learning development initiatives.
- Identify and address training needs across the organization.
- Stay informed on the latest SACAA regulations, CARs/CATs, directives, and internal SOPs.
✅ What You Need to Fly High
- Grade 12 (Matric) – Essential
- Current SACAA Instructor Certification (DG/AVSEC/SMS/W&B) – Essential
- Train the Trainer, Assessor, Moderator, Auditor, and Coaching Certifications – Essential
- Diploma or Degree in Education/Training or related field – Advantageous
- Minimum 2 years of flying experience in a relevant specialization – Essential
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- In-depth knowledge of aviation training standards, SOPs, and SA CAA compliance
