Delivery Driver – Hospitality & Retail (FMCG / Fresh Produce)

Company Overview:
A well-established fresh produce distribution company supplying leading retail and hospitality clients is seeking a dependable Delivery Driver to join its logistics team. The role involves delivering products to retail stores, restaurants, hotels, and wholesale customers across Cape Town and surrounding areas.

Role Summary:
The Delivery Driver will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and punctual delivery of goods while maintaining excellent customer service and upholding the company’s professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver fresh produce to hospitality, retail, and wholesale customers along assigned routes
• Load, secure, transport, and offload goods carefully and efficiently
• Accurately complete delivery documentation, including delivery notes, returns, and customer signatures
• Act as a professional representative of the company when engaging with customers
• Conduct daily vehicle checks (tyres, oil levels, cleanliness) and report any faults
• Adhere to delivery schedules and proactively communicate any delays
• Maintain cold-chain compliance and proper product-handling standards
• Minimise breakages, losses, and product damage
• Assist with warehouse duties such as packing and stock movement when required
• Comply with road safety regulations, company policies, and health and safety standards

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid South African driver’s licence with PDP (Code 10 advantageous)
• At least 2 years’ driving or delivery experience, preferably within FMCG or fresh produce
• Good knowledge of Cape Town and Stellenbosch routes and retail locations
• Physically fit and able to handle boxes and crates
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
• Willingness to work early mornings and weekends
• Clear criminal record
