About the Role
Alert Afinta, a division of Motus Aftermarket Parts, is seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our Boksburg team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of goods, while ensuring full compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and customer service requirements.
This role is ideal for a disciplined, safety-conscious individual who takes pride in professionalism, vehicle care, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
The Driver’s duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Conducting pre-departure and return vehicle inspections and ensuring inspection checklists are completed accurately
- Submitting completed inspection lists to the Dispatch Supervisor every Monday for sign-off before receiving a new checklist
- Reporting any vehicle defects or irregularities immediately before the vehicle leaves the premises
- Checking parcels with the supervisor prior to loading and strictly following the New Dispatch Loading Procedure
- Delivering parcels to customers on designated routes according to the route schedule and trip sheet
- Ensuring customers comply with Proof of Delivery (POD) procedures
- Adhering to Return for Credit (RFC) procedures at all times
- Collecting, submitting, and returning all delivery documentation and collection slips linked to the assigned trip sheet
- Signing trip sheets with the POD Clerk and ensuring all documents allocated are completed and returned the following day
- Taking responsibility for outstanding trip sheets and being accountable for any claims related to missing PODs
- Ensuring no stock transfers occur between customer shops
- Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and reporting any mechanical or operational issues immediately
- Reporting delivery issues, POD discrepancies, or customer concerns to the Dispatch Supervisor without delay
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Minimum of 3 years’ delivery driving experience
- Valid driver’s licence with PDP (essential)
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Honest, trustworthy, and able to demonstrate high levels of integrity
- Sober habits
- Clear criminal record
