Are you an experienced heavy vehicle operator with a passion for safety and road compliance? Join Air Products South Africa as a Driver Assistant in our Packaged Gases division! This is a crucial support role where you’ll help ensure our fleet and operations remain safe, compliant, and efficient — with a strong focus on transporting dangerous goods.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of fleet vehicles to ensure roadworthiness.
• Ensure all legal documentation and certifications (e.g., COF, fire permits) are up to date.
• Maintain and display appropriate dangerous goods signage on vehicles.
• Keep the vehicle and loading environment clean and orderly.
• Maintain accurate records of all vehicle servicing and maintenance.
• Champion safety and quality standards at all times.
• Deliver top-tier customer service during all transport and delivery operations.

✅ Requirements:

• Grade 12 certificate (Matric)
• Valid Code EC driver’s license with PrDP (d)
• Dangerous Goods Certificate is essential
• 3–5 years’ experience in heavy-duty vehicle operations and transporting dangerous goods
• Mechanically inclined and safety-conscious
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
