Role Overview
Empoweryst is looking for a professional and reliable Driver to provide safe, efficient, and confidential transport services to the Director. This role also includes vehicle maintenance, errands, and occasional administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation Services
- Drive the Director to meetings, events, and appointments safely and punctually
- Plan routes, taking traffic conditions into account to ensure timely arrivals
- Assist with loading and unloading of luggage, documents, or other items
Vehicle Maintenance
- Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and in good working order
- Conduct routine checks on tyres, oil, and other essential components
- Arrange and monitor scheduled servicing and repairs
Security & Confidentiality
- Safeguard the confidentiality of discussions and Director-related matters
- Stay alert to safety and security risks during travel
Administrative & Personal Assistance
- Run errands such as collecting parcels, documents, or other items
- Assist with ad hoc administrative or personal tasks when required
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent driving ability with a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of Johannesburg and regional road networks
- Ability to plan efficient routes and adjust to changing schedules
- Time management, punctuality, and reliability
- Discretion when handling sensitive information
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid Code B or C1 Driver’s Licence (as applicable) – Required
- 3–5 years of professional driving experience (preferably for executives/senior management)
- Defensive driving certification (advantageous)
- Familiarity with GPS/navigation tools
