Purpose of the Role
Operate heavy-duty vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and personnel to and from job sites. Support asphalt paving operations in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow task instructions from supervisors or dispatch office.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections (safety checks, fluid levels, etc.) and report faults.
- Load and unload materials and equipment, ensuring safety procedures are followed.
- Drive and operate heavy-duty vehicles (e.g., tipper trucks, water tankers).
- Transport personnel and materials to various work sites.
- Maintain vehicle logs, tally sheets, checklists, and related documentation.
- Ensure correct quantities and safe delivery of construction materials (sand, stone, etc.).
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 or equivalent.
- Valid EC (Code 14) driving license.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant heavy vehicle driving experience.
Preferred: 3 years of relevant experience.

Working Conditions
- Must be available for work in all weather conditions.
