Minimum Requirements:

• Valid Code B/EB driver’s licence.
• Valid Public Driving Permit (PDP).
• Appropriate driving experience.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Willingness to work overtime and perform standby duties.

Knowledge and Competencies:

• Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
• Accountability, responsibility, and ability to work independently.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Transport Regulations and Circular No. 4 of 2000.
• Understanding of routine vehicle maintenance, inspections, and defect reporting.
• Safe driving practices.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide an effective and efficient transport service for the Khayelitsha/Eastern Sub-structure Office.
• Conduct routine vehicle maintenance, inspections, and report defects promptly.
• Perform daily transport administration tasks and support the Supervisor.
• Ensure vehicles are kept clean, roadworthy, and well-maintained.
• Carry out administrative and relief duties when required.
