Salary: R138 486 – R163 131 per annum (plus service benefits: 13th cheque, pension fund contribution, housing and medical aid allowance)
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Code B/EB driver’s licence.
- Valid Public Driving Permit (PDP).
- Appropriate driving experience.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Willingness to work overtime and perform standby duties.
Knowledge and Competencies:
- Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
- Accountability, responsibility, and ability to work independently.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Transport Regulations and Circular No. 4 of 2000.
- Understanding of routine vehicle maintenance, inspections, and defect reporting.
- Safe driving practices.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide an effective and efficient transport service for the Khayelitsha/Eastern Sub-structure Office.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance, inspections, and report defects promptly.
- Perform daily transport administration tasks and support the Supervisor.
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean, roadworthy, and well-maintained.
- Carry out administrative and relief duties when required.
