Motus Corporation, a leading name in the South African automotive industry and home to Hyundai SA, is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Light Duty Driver to join its Transportation team at the CPT Parts Hub in Bellville.
This role is ideal for a disciplined and responsible individual who enjoys being on the road, values punctuality, and takes pride in maintaining high safety standards. As a Light Duty Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and timely transportation of materials, equipment, and personnel, contributing directly to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
As a Light Duty Driver, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Safely operating light duty vehicles to transport materials, automotive parts, equipment, and personnel to designated locations
- Ensuring strict compliance with road traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times
- Conducting thorough vehicle inspections before and after each trip to identify mechanical or safety issues
- Reporting any vehicle defects, damages, or maintenance needs promptly to management
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment when required
- Completing all relevant delivery notes, logbooks, trip sheets, and transport documentation accurately
- Communicating effectively with supervisors, warehouse staff, and team members to coordinate transport schedules
- Maintaining cleanliness, order, and professionalism inside and outside the assigned vehicle
- Representing the Motus and Hyundai brand positively when interacting with internal teams and external stakeholders
🎓 Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 / High School Diploma or equivalent
- A valid South African driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Proven driving experience, preferably in a light duty or delivery role
- Good knowledge of local routes, road networks, and traffic regulations within the Western Cape
- Ability to read maps, follow directions, and meet delivery deadlines
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically fit and able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
