DRIVER (LIGHT DUTY VEHICLE)

Chief Directorate: Metro Health Services
Salary: R138 486 per annum
Centre: Helderberg Hospital

Requirements:

• Education: Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience: Relevant driving experience in a hospital environment.
• Inherent Requirements:
  • A valid Code B/EB driver’s licence with a PDP.
  • Willingness to work standby duties and overtime when required.
  • Good knowledge of road networks in the Peninsula.
  • Access to a secure, lock-up garage at home or a secure parking area.
• Competencies:
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Transport Handbook 1 of 2009.

Duties:

• Perform after-hours standby duties, including weekends.
• Complete and maintain vehicle log sheets.
• Assist the Transport Officer with basic administrative and general tasks.
• Conduct basic vehicle maintenance such as cleaning, reporting faults, and taking vehicles for servicing or repairs.
• Transport goods, personnel, and services as required.
