Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 10 or ABET Level 4 qualification
• 1–2 years of relevant work experience
• A valid, unexpired South African driver’s licence
• Knowledge of:
  • Transport Circular 4 of 2000
  • National Road Traffic Act, 1996
  • Public Service Act and Regulations
  • PFMA (Public Finance Management Act), 1999
• Strong driving ability and excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to read maps and operate GPS devices
• Good time management and interpersonal skills
• Computer literacy
• Ability to work under pressure and deal with difficult individuals
• Demonstrated sense of responsibility, loyalty, and conflict resolution skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate light and medium motor vehicles for official duties
• Collect, deliver, and distribute documents between departments and external locations
• Transport employees to designated destinations for official purposes
• Take vehicles in for servicing, repairs, and maintenance
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Coordinate the cleaning of vehicles
• Assist in verifying vehicle registers and processing transport requisitions
• Check and maintain vehicle logbooks
• Make copies and email transport-related documents
• Assist with transport filing and signing of delivery note services
