Requirements

  • NQF Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid Code 8 Driver’s licence.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in driver/messenger duties.
  • Knowledge of driving procedures and Occupational Health and Safety standards.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, accountability, punctuality, and confidentiality.
  • Understanding of record-keeping and reporting processes.

Duties

  • Drive light motor vehicles as required.
  • Complete logbooks and trip authorization documents.
  • Collect and deliver documents.
  • Transport officials to and from various destinations.
  • Conduct routine vehicle safety inspections.
  • Provide support to registry services.

Requirements

  • NQF Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid Code 8 Driver’s licence.
  • One (1) year experience in driver/messenger services.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of government policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused, detail-oriented, and able to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to track and trace documents.
  • Team player with problem-solving skills and accountability.
  • Willingness to work under pressure, travel frequently, and work extended hours.

Duties

  • Provide efficient messenger and driving services within the directorate.
  • Safely transport officials to various destinations.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure vehicle roadworthiness.
  • Collect and deliver mail and documents.
  • Retrieve and deliver files to relevant offices.
  • Track and trace correspondence and maintain registers.
  • Operate photocopy machines.
  • Provide administrative support as needed within the administration unit.

Additional Requirements for SMS Positions

  • Candidates shortlisted for Senior Management Service posts will be required to undergo a technical and competency assessment.
  • A pre-entry certificate from the National School of Government (NSG) is required before appointment.
  • Successful candidates must complete a financial disclosure form and undergo full security clearance.
