Key Responsibilities

As a Driver Operator, your role will include:

• Operating and maintaining specialized machinery and vehicles.
• Loading, offloading, and transporting goods, equipment, and work teams.
• Performing daily inspections and minor repairs on vehicles (oil, fuel, tyres, water).
• Keeping detailed logbooks and trip authorization records.
• Ensuring regular cleaning, lubrication, and servicing of equipment.
• Maintaining gravel roads, shoulders, and performing re-ravelling work.
• Applying all safety procedures and reporting defects promptly.

Minimum Requirements

✅ Grade 10 or equivalent qualification (SAQA-recognized)
✅ A valid driver’s license with PDP (Goods and Passengers)
✅ Valid operating certificate
✅ At least 5 years’ experience in driving and operating specialized equipment
