🔧 Position Purpose

Join a dynamic port operations team where you’ll be responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading cargo using specialised port equipment. Your role will help ensure smooth cargo movement, minimize damages, and support overall terminal efficiency.

⚙️ Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-operation checks on allocated machines
• Complete task sheets and report equipment defects
• Replenish fuel and fluid levels as required
• Operate equipment according to standard operating procedures
• Handle machinery such as:
  • Articulated vehicles
  • Tractor/trailer units
  • Forklifts
  • Payloaders & tip trucks
• Monitor equipment performance during operations
• Report any accidents or incidents immediately
• Ensure correct equipment and attachments are used
• Perform end-of-shift checks and duties

🎓 Minimum Requirements

• Matric / NQF Level 4
• Valid Code 14 (EC) Driver’s License
• Machine competency certificates (e.g., Dumper, Front-End Loader, Payloader)
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in:
  • Port operations / Maritime services / Warehouse tally
