Position Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Driver will provide safe, reliable, and efficient driving services for the UN Women Country Representative, other officials, and visiting personnel. The role requires a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity, as well as a strong understanding of protocol, security, and local road conditions. The driver will also support the office with logistical and administrative tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
1. Reliable and Secure Transportation
- Drive the Country Representative, officials, and visitors safely to destinations.
- Facilitate VIP missions and airport pickups, including visa and customs arrangements.
- Deliver and collect documents, parcels, and correspondence from government offices, embassies, and UN entities.
- Ensure seatbelt compliance and adherence to security protocols at all times.
- Report and follow prescribed procedures in the event of accidents.
- Ensure vehicles meet all UN Women safety and security standards.
2. Vehicle Use and Maintenance
- Drive responsibly and economically to reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate daily vehicle logs, mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance records.
- Oversee vehicle service schedules and repairs.
- Keep vehicles clean, serviced, and in excellent working condition.
- Conduct routine checks on oil, tires, lights, brakes, and other systems; handle minor repairs when required.
3. Documentation and Compliance
- Maintain all required vehicle documents, including insurance, registration, and logbooks.
- Ensure vehicles are equipped with maps, first aid kits, and basic spare parts.
- Follow all UN Women and UNDP driving and security regulations.
4. Administrative and Logistical Support
- Assist office staff with filing, photocopying, and record maintenance.
- Support with mailing, deliveries, and payment of bills when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure efficient office operations.

Qualifications
Education:
- Completion of secondary education required.
- Valid driver’s license essential.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of driving experience in an international organization, embassy, or UN system with a proven safe driving record.
Language:
- Fluency in English required.
