This position is based at our Geochemistry Laboratory in Orkney (Vaal River Laboratory). The successful candidate will support our laboratory operations by performing tasks related to sample preparation and fire assay processes, as well as transportation duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, reliable, and courteous transportation services.
- Transport goods, samples, or materials as required.
- Perform deliveries and collections as needed.
- Maintain accurate vehicle and delivery records.
- Comply with all SGS quality, safety, and management system requirements.
- Keep company vehicles clean and in good condition.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by your line manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Grade 12 / Matric.
- License: Valid driver’s license.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ driving experience.
Skills and Attributes
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing needs.
- Good knowledge of the North West region.
- Ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.
- Basic literacy (able to read and write).
