Clicks Group Limited, a leader in the Wholesale and Retail Trade industry, is offering an exciting opportunity for dedicated and customer-focused individuals to join their Unicare division as Drivers. This position is based at the 24-hour Pharmacy in Bassonia, Johannesburg.


Role Purpose

The role is responsible for the safe, timely, and confidential delivery of prescription medications and healthcare products to customers, clinics, and healthcare facilities. The driver ensures reliable service that maintains the pharmacy’s trusted relationship with its clients.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver prescription and OTC medications to homes, clinics, hospitals, and retirement facilities.
  • Prioritise urgent deliveries and handle scheduled or temperature-sensitive items securely.
  • Use ice packs for refrigerated products and ensure careful vehicle loading.
  • Obtain signatures and maintain accurate proof-of-delivery records.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and communicate professionally with healthcare staff and patients.
  • Report customer concerns or queries to the Dispensary Manager.
  • Return undelivered or rejected parcels with proper documentation.
  • Keep the delivery vehicle clean and complete daily vehicle and delivery check sheets.
  • Verify delivery quantities before departure and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / National Senior Certificate (Essential)
  • Minimum 2 years of delivery or courier experience
  • Basic understanding of pharmacy procedures (advantageous)
  • Valid Code 08 or 10 Driver’s License (compliant with SA Road Traffic Act)
  • Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
  • Clean driving record (no traffic violations)
  • Willingness to work shifts to meet operational needs
