Purpose of the Role
We’re looking for professional and reliable contract drivers to support the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) with transporting passengers and goods, following designated routes and schedules, and delivering high-quality support through additional messenger services.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow work plans and short-term schedules aligned with your team leader.
- Transport SARB staff, management, and board members safely and punctually.
- Keep assigned vehicles clean, fuelled, and roadworthy; report any issues promptly.
- Comply with all traffic and safety laws to ensure a secure driving environment.
- Keep accurate trip logs, including passenger counts, fuel usage, mileage, etc.
- Be flexible when routes or schedules change unexpectedly.
- Provide ad hoc chauffeur services for senior leaders.
- Load and offload luggage or goods when needed.
- Conduct internal and external messenger duties, delivering packages and documents.
- Maintain a calm, courteous, and professional manner at all times.
- Regularly assess your performance and pursue task-specific learning and growth.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 or equivalent
- Licensing: Valid driver’s licence with a Passenger Driver Permit (PDP)
- Experience: 3–5 years in a corporate driving role
