Sales Representative – Cape Town

Location: Cape Town
Job Title: Account Manager

Main Purpose of the Role:
The Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy that drives new business opportunities, achieving or exceeding individual targets, and contributing to DSV Road’s overall New Business objectives. This role involves building a robust sales pipeline to support long-term growth.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle (mandatory).
  • 2-3 years of senior key account management and new business sales experience in logistics.
  • Proven track record in prospecting for new business and meeting sales targets.
  • Expertise in tender management and the ability to sell cross-silo solutions to C-level executives.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and end-to-end supply chain.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for client meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client debtor days within company requirements.
  • Maintain regular inter-departmental communication.
  • Identify cross-silo solutions and collaborate with other department heads.
  • Update and maintain the internal CRM system.
  • Achieve the expected client call ratio KPI.
  • Fulfil any other duties as requested by Management.

Product Manager, Trade Lane, Air & Sea – Kempton Park Location: Kempton Park, Serengeti Blvd (DSV Park Gauteng)
Job Title: Product Manager, Trade Lane, Air & Sea
Employment Type: Full Time

Main Purpose of the Role:
This position focuses on growing DSV’s Air & Sea market share on the APAC trade lanes (inbound and outbound). The role involves building strong relationships within the DSV network and creating products that drive volume and GP growth.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in Air & Sea operations.
  • 3 years of experience in a development or sales-oriented role.
  • Experience working with the APAC network.
  • Willingness to travel extensively both locally and internationally.

Qualifications:

  • Matric (essential).
  • Diploma or degree in logistics or a related field is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook (intermediate to advanced).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure major target accounts in collaboration with the DSV sales group.
  • Support CRM in transitioning new accounts into operations, customer service, and the overseas network.
  • Plan and monitor the annual volume budget.
  • Provide support to Operations and Account Management for route-specific issues.
  • Develop and implement products in conjunction with Air & Sea Leadership.
  • Report market information monthly to Senior Management.
  • Create local awareness of trade lanes and establish sales kits and presentations.

KPIs:

  • Volume growth on the trade lane in line with the agreed budget.
  • Monthly market intelligence reporting.

Process Specialist – Kempton Park Location: Kempton Park
Job Title: Process Specialist, Accounts Payable
Employment Type: Full Time

Main Purpose of the Role:
The Process Specialist will manage supplier accounts, ensuring compliance with Tax Regulations and DSV policies. The role includes reconciling supplier accounts, liaising with suppliers on issues, and managing overdue invoices.

Qualifications:

  • Financial qualification (degree, diploma, or certificate) is advantageous.
  • Advanced computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with CargoWise1 is beneficial.

Job-Related Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role.
  • Experience in a shared services environment is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices and credit notes in accordance with SLA agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with Tax Regulations and DSV policies.
  • Manage supplier queries and follow up on aged transactions.
  • Conduct GL reconciliations and ensure accurate recording of expenses.
  • Provide support for audit requests and perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Branch Manager – George Location: George

Main Purpose of the Role:
The Branch Manager will oversee staff, clients, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. The role is responsible for the branch’s financial performance, service delivery, client retention, and operational excellence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in the logistics or courier environment in a managerial role.
  • Sales, operations, HR, and IR skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of P&L, financials, and relevant legislation.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including Pivot tables and formulas.
  • Own reliable transport and a valid driver’s license.
