AFGRI Tractor/Earthmoving Mechanic Apprenticeship

Are you a recent matriculant with a passion for machinery and mechanics? AFGRI is offering a 3-year apprenticeship program to train future Tractor or Earthmoving Mechanics/Technicians! This program includes in-service training, product training (e.g., John Deere), distance learning, and more — all sponsored by AFGRI (terms apply).

🔧 What You’ll Learn & Do:

• Service & repair of tractors and heavy machinery
• Stock control & customer service
• Attend product and technical training sessions
• Gain a formal qualification in your trade

📚 Minimum Entry Requirements:

• Matric with key subjects:
  • Mathematics (not Literacy), Technical Mathematics, Physical or Technical Science, or Engineering Graphics & Design
• OR an N2 certificate in:
  • Mathematics, Engineering Science, Diesel Trade Theory + one of: Motor Trade Theory / Industrial Electronics / Technical Drawing
• Valid SA Driver’s License
• Basic computer, admin, and communication skills

📌 Important Notes:

• A 6-month probation period applies
• Failing a course = redo at your own cost
• Early withdrawal = cost recovery clause applies
