Job Purpose:
To coordinate and provide technical support for the construction and maintenance of high voltage transmission systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advice on project monitoring stages for high voltage construction and maintenance works.
- Establish and schedule work requirements for high voltage projects, addressing technical specifications and environmental impacts.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and operating procedures during project execution.
- Monitor technical requirements and engage in project-related discussions regarding contractual obligations and performance standards.
- Maintain asset information and perform administrative tasks related to high voltage transmission systems.
- Update and maintain records of work in progress and completed projects.
Requirements:
- Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Electrical Engineering.
- Registration as a Professional Electrical Technician (Pr Technician) with ECSA.
- Must pass a departmental proficiency test on high voltage electrical plant and equipment.
- Authorized to operate on MV and HV systems without restrictions.
- Valid motor vehicle driving license.
- Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience in high voltage electrical plant and equipment related to substation, lines, and/or cable construction.
Remuneration:
