Afrirent Pty (Ltd) is seeking a reliable Fleet Driver to support the operations of the Afrirent Fleet Division by providing safe, efficient collection and delivery services. The role also includes maintaining company vehicles and performing general housekeeping duties in line with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards.

Key Responsibilities

Driving Duties

• Handle all company-related collections and deliveries, including parcels, documents, and postal items.
• Collect and deliver documents between customers, Afrirent sites, and depots as required.
• Complete all necessary paperwork such as trip sheets, time sheets, and logbooks according to Afrirent procedures.
• Renew vehicle licence discs at the Vehicle Licensing Department.
• Adhere strictly to all OHS policies, procedures, and road safety regulations.
• Maintain regular communication with the Contracts Manager: Operations for updates and feedback.
• Follow the Road Traffic Act and use approved or optimal routes at all times.
• Identify and report any potential risks or hazards.

Vehicle Maintenance

• Conduct daily inspections and check vehicle roadworthiness to ensure all company vehicles remain in good working condition.
• Ensure fuel levels are maintained at all times.
• Clean and wash vehicles weekly or whenever required.
• Obtain and display vehicle licence discs before expiry dates.
• Schedule routine servicing and maintenance appointments.
• Report any vehicle damage or faults to the Contracts Manager: Operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4).
• Minimum of 2 years’ driving experience.
• Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).

Salary: R9 413 per month
Work Arrangement: On-site (in person)
