📌 Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 10 or equivalent qualification (ABET Level 4 or N1)
  • Ability to read and write
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and numeracy skills
  • Physically fit and able to cope with the demands of the job
  • Ability to work well in a team and under pressure
  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Willingness to rotate to different areas within the food service unit
  • Willingness to perform all general food service duties as delegated by a supervisor

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine duties within the food service unit
  • Assist with pre-preparation and preparation of food for normal and therapeutic diets
  • Dish and serve food according to portion control standards
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the unit
  • Operate basic kitchen machinery and equipment
  • Report lost, faulty, or damaged equipment and identify potential safety risks
  • Relieve other staff members when required
  • Rotate between different sections within the food service unit
  • Participate in food service–related training as required
  • Carry out any lawful instruction issued by a supervisor
