About the Role

Tsebo Site Solutions is seeking a General Assistant to help maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene at our site in Maseru. This role ensures all designated areas remain clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations, while supporting the smooth operation of the site.

Key Duties

• Carry out daily cleaning duties in kitchens, canteens, dining areas, and other assigned areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitise floors, surfaces, and equipment.
• Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling procedures are followed.
• Restock cleaning supplies and report any shortages.
• Adhere to hygiene standards and Health & Safety regulations.
• Assist with basic food service tasks when required (e.g., serving beverages, clearing tables).
• Help implement cleaning schedules and checklists.
• Report hazards or maintenance issues immediately.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication skills (English essential; additional languages beneficial).
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Ability to follow Health & Safety guidelines and cleaning routines.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, methods, and equipment.
• Understanding of hygiene and sanitation requirements.
• Physically capable of performing manual cleaning tasks.
• Experience in a cleaning environment, ideally in hospitality or catering.

Qualifications

• Matric required.
