Job Overview
Provide excellent in-store customer service while ensuring proper merchandising, shelf pricing, and housekeeping in your assigned area.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 / NQF 3 with at least 1 year of relevant work experience, or Grade 12 with no experience required
- Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language
- Valid South African ID or work permit
- Able to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Able to work under pressure
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Provide product advice and assist customers with queries
- Help resolve customer complaints
Merchandising
- Merchandise bulk stock safely and according to the store layout
- Ensure your designated area is fully stocked and aligned with planograms
Housekeeping
- Keep your area tidy and free of obstacles
- Ensure stock is merchandised immediately after receiving
- Maintain correct shelf price labels
- Complete required checklists, including Canteen and Toilet/Shower schedules
Safety (OHSA Compliance)
- Use appropriate safety gear and ensure safety standards are upheld
- Maintain safe racking and bulk stock areas for customers and colleagues
- Report any safety issues or discrepancies to the Store Manager
Stock Loss Control
- Report damaged stock in your area to the Store Manager
