Contract Type: Temporary – Six (6) consecutive months
Stipend: R3,621.00 per month

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 10 or equivalent qualification
• South African citizen
• Resident of Ekurhuleni (must specify ward number)
• Currently unemployed
• Not participating in any CoE Job Creation Programme
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning, digging, planting, sweeping, grass cutting, refuse collection, and general upkeep of sites
• Assist in maintaining municipal infrastructure and assets
• Operate basic hand tools and small equipment under supervision
• Load and offload tools, equipment, and materials
• Maintain workplace safety and take measures to protect others
• Report hazards, faults, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor
• Support municipal teams during events, clean-up drives, or emergencies
• Work collaboratively with team members and municipal officials
• Carry out any general tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor

Important Note:
Applicants currently engaged in other job creation initiatives are ineligible until completing a six-month cooling-off period after their last participation.
