General Worker – Full-Time

Job Overview:
Recycle1st is seeking a General Worker to assist with recycling operations and material handling. The role involves physical labour, safe work practices, and supporting daily warehouse activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load recyclable materials onto vehicles.
• Move and store recycled materials within and outside the warehouse.
• Weigh recycling and record data accurately.
• Feed conveyor belts with recycling materials to meet daily targets (60 bulk bags per day).
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Perform additional tasks as instructed by the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate inventory and activity logs.
• Follow company policies, safety standards, and legal requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a recycling environment (required).
• High School Certificate (Grade 12).
• Proven ability in manual labour tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
• Physically fit with good coordination.
• Excellent time management.
• Sober habits.
• Ability to reliably commute to and from Elsiesrivier, Cape Town.
• Language: English (preferred).
