Position Overview

Unique Personnel is seeking a dependable and hardworking General Worker to support daily production operations. The role involves performing a range of manual and basic operational tasks to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient production processes while maintaining strict hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in operating production lines, including feeding raw materials and monitoring output.
• Pack, sort, and label finished products according to quality and production standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in work areas, equipment, and tools in line with food safety regulations.
• Safely load, offload, and move materials or products within the production facility.
• Support machine operators and supervisors with general production tasks.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and food safety procedures (HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000).
• Immediately report any defects, hazards, or unsafe practices to management.
• Assist with inventory management, including counting and organizing materials and packaging.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.

Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Minimum of Grade 12 (Matric).
• Previous experience in food production, manufacturing, or warehouse operations is advantageous.

Skills & Competencies:

• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks such as lifting and standing for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety and hygiene practices.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions precisely.
• Team-oriented with good communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
