Position Overview
The Facilities Management Team at Midstream is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Worker to assist with a variety of maintenance and facility support tasks. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on team player, eager to learn and contribute to the upkeep of the estate.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (advantageous)
- Experience in facilities or building maintenance (advantageous)
- Basic understanding of facility management and maintenance practices
- Knowledge of Health and Safety standards

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist with various maintenance and operational tasks, including but not limited to:
- Supporting ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Director or Engineer
- Installing, modifying, and repairing fences and other structures around the estate
- Groundskeeping: cutting grass, trimming trees, and clearing weeds
- Painting and repairing vacant commercial units
- Conducting general maintenance (locks, handles, paving, glass repairs, etc.)
- Performing basic plumbing repairs (leaks, valves, toilets, drains)
- Maintaining perimeter walls and electric fencing
- Performing proactive maintenance and veld fire control
- Refilling generators with diesel for loadshedding preparation
- Maintaining street pole frames and removing illegal signage
- Transporting staff and materials between sites and designated destinations
- Handling and storing advertising materials for MES and Bondev
- Adhering to all health and safety protocols
