Alert Engine Parts is seeking a General Worker to join their Goodwood branch.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Binning / Receiving

• Accurately bin incoming stock and replenish inventory from bulk to pick locations according to standard procedures
• Ensure new products are assigned correct bin locations within the warehouse
• Update bin locations and report changes to your supervisor
• Assist with inventory replenishment
• Receive and check all incoming goods in line with company standards

Picking

• Pick customer and branch orders promptly to meet daily cut-off times
• Only pick from bulk locations when stock is not replenished in pick bins or when handling bulk orders
• Follow all lawful and reasonable instructions from supervisors
• Adhere to procedures that improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Assist with stock-taking activities
• Maintain daily housekeeping standards
• Perform double-checks to ensure accuracy and prevent stock losses
• Consistently meet operational performance targets

Scanner Control

• Issue scanners to operators each day
• Record scanner check-outs and returns using the electronic system
• Inspect scanners for damage upon return and record them accordingly
• Report any damaged devices to the supervisor
• Complete the daily scanner tracking spreadsheet

Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 / Matric is essential
• Computer literate
• Honest, reliable, and demonstrates strong integrity
• Good communication skills
• Able to work effectively under pressure
