Alert Engine Parts is looking for a dependable General Worker to join their Goodwood branch.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Binning / Receiving
- Correctly bin incoming stock and ensure inventory is replenished from bulk to pick locations according to standard procedures.
- Allocate new products to appropriate bin locations in the correct warehouse section.
- Update bin information and report any changes to your supervisor.
- Assist with stock replenishment tasks.
- Receive and check all incoming goods according to company standards.
Picking
- Pick customer and branch orders accurately and on time to meet daily order deadlines.
- Only pick from bulk locations when necessary (e.g., when pick stock is depleted and not replenished).
- Follow all lawful and reasonable instructions from your supervisor.
- Adhere to procedures that improve customer satisfaction.
- Assist with stock-taking activities.
- Maintain daily housekeeping to ensure a clean work environment.
- Perform double checks to reduce errors and prevent inventory loss.
- Consistently meet set operational performance targets.
Scanner Control
- Issue scanners to operators daily.
- Record scanner check-outs on the electronic system.
- Receive scanners back, inspect for damage, and book them into stock via the electronic system.
- Report damaged scanners to the supervisor.
- Complete the daily scanner tracking spreadsheet.
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 / Matric (essential).
- Computer literacy.
- Honest and reliable with strong integrity.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to work well under pressure.
